We celebrated Jared's birthday with a Star Wars party at the park.
We had obstacle courses.
A Death Star pinata. I thought about making a Darth Vader pinata like my brother Ben made before, but my generic giant ball pinata took me long enough!
We had Jedi training.
Nathan liked the light sabers just as much as the big boys. He even makes the light saber sound when he uses it. Just recently we discovered his amazing hand-eye coordination when my mom pitched him a ball while he had the foam light saber in his hand. He hit the ball every time!
Nathan obviously liked the cake too.
And, of course--Darth Vader appeared. Darth Vader later told me he was actually fearful for his life when nine Jedi's came racing toward him with light sabers swinging in all directions.
We had a lot of fun, and no one was maimed by a light saber so I'd say it was a success!
