Summer Catch-Up #2:Balloon Fiesta

I know Balloon Fiesta was almost a year ago, and doesn't have anything to do with the summer, but we finally had time to finish this blog draft so here goes! For Balloon Fiesta, Hannah and her family came out. It was really great, and for one of the first times we went to both the Mass Ascension and the Glow. We had so much fun chasing balloons and seeing them launch off. 

APS schools got Friday off for Fall Break so we woke up early and drove to the Mass Ascension and into the parking lot. The balloons looked so cool flying up into the sky.

Mass Ascension:

 

 

Unfortunately when we arrived at the Glow it was too windy for the balloons to go up and "glow" but we stayed because we could easily run around getting balloon trading cards. We love collecting cards every year and the cousins were excited to get them too. Because there were no balloons up it was super easy to see who was handing out cards and lots of people were not there to take them, but in my family the kids are not as open to talk to strangers. Luckily cute little Sam does not have that problem so you could often hear us go,"Hey Sam you see those guys over there, I wonder if they have cards!" At this Sam would run over and ask for cards for everyone. They were really successful with getting a bunch of cards thanks to Sam.
