Cascade

We left Albuquerque with just enough snow to come up with this little guy... don't you love the lettuce hair?

About 19 hours of driving later we had this:

We spent a few days in Cascade, ID with all of my brothers and sisters and their kids. I hadn't been to the cabin for over 15 years! It was fun to revive some old memories and share them with Scott and my children.

Snowmobiling, sledding, building ice forts. Snow past my knees!

17 kids 9 years old and younger + 13 adults + 3 room cabin = Fun or Chaos? You decide.

I can't find my gloves!

Favorite memory: Long after the kids were all asleep the adults were still up talking when the power suddenly went off. Almost instantaneously those with cell phones grabbed them out and flipped them open. We walked around the cabin and got ready for bed by the green light of about six cell phones!

It was a lot of driving, but we are very glad we made this trip . . . just don't ask me to do it again any time soon.

The light on my cell phone is actually blue, not green. :) I like the little tiny snowman you made in ABQ, it's really cute!

What day did you guys leave? We left the day after Christmas and we got a lot of snow. We probably should have waited a day. We had a great time though.

Hey! What about the deer murder! You didn't write about that. We figure it will be another 15 years till we see you at the cabin again. Love you

I'm glad you made it up to Utah and the cabin. It was sure fun hanging out with your family. Thanks again for the awesome white board/felt board/magnetic board. We've used it already-check out my preschool blog!
